It was easy to forget that the Dollz were really just a bunch of Camden Town reprobates in wigs who weren't too clever on "name your tribute band" day. They played with all the obnoxious attitude of the originals, with the added bonus of their Johnny Thunders being able to stand up and play guitar at the same time. The reasonable facsimile of David Johansen knew where the camera was at all times, and hogged every shot - just like the real one! Afterwards, he told me he also doubles as Iggy Pop and Lou Reed.
